Our Grant MPS-1 high speed shaker/vortex mixer is a compact, bench-friendly dual-function instrument designed for rapid, efficient mixing of microplates (U or V), PCR plates (96 or 384 well), deep-well plates (250µl to 2000µl) and tubes from 0.2ml up to 50ml. It combines high-speed shaking and vortex mixing in a single unit, delivering consistent, reproducible results for demanding workflows such as DNA/RNA extraction, pellet resuspension, ELISA sample prep and general reagent mixing.

The device features a 3mm orbit, variable speed control (300 - 3,200 rpm) with four preset modes (soft, medium, hard, vortex) and a pulse mode for customised mixing cycles. A two-line LCD clearly displays both set and actual speed and time values, while an integrated timer (1–60 minutes or continuous) with audible alarm ensures precise, repeatable runs.

Thanks to its small footprint, low noise (50 dB) and modest power consumption, the MPS-1 fits neatly into busy lab benches or incubators, and remains suitable for constant use even in humid or controlled environments. Its versatility, reliability and ease of use make it ideal for laboratories needing a flexible, high-throughput mixing solution without compromising space or performance.
