Our Grant PV-1 vortex mixer is a compact vortex device engineered for rapid, reproducible mixing of liquid samples in tubes ranging from 0.2ml up to 50ml. Its low-profile design and small footprint make it ideal for busy bench spaces or confined lab environments.

The unit operates at variable speeds from 750 to 3,000 rpm, allowing gentle mixing for resuspension or vigorous vortexing for pellet disruption. Users may choose either continuous operation or touch-activated mode via a pressure-sensitive cup - in touch mode, mixing begins as soon as the tube contacts the cup, simplifying workflow and reducing handling time.

The motor is exceptionally quiet yet powerful, delivering consistent and reproducible agitation across the speed range. Rubber suction pads secure the mixer firmly to the bench, absorbing vibration and preventing unwanted movement. The PV-1’s simplicity, reliability and versatility make it an effective tool for resuspension of cell or chemical pellets, buffer mixing, sample homogenisation and other routine laboratory processes.
