Our Hupfer medical stainless steel grade-304 instrument baskets are constructed from electro-polished round wire for optimal hygiene, visibility and drainage. The wire mesh size is 4.64 x 4.64mm, except for the catheter basket which is 8 x 8mm mesh. Designed for sterile environments such as hospitals, laboratories and dental practices, they support safe immersion, transport and storage of medical instruments during reprocessing.

The open wire design allows rapid fluid access and efficient drainage during manual cleaning, ultrasonic treatment and washer-disinfector cycles. Electro-polishing enhances corrosion resistance while creating a smooth surface that eases cleaning and aids residue build-up.

Each basket (excluding the catheter) includes two interior chest handles that sit flush within the sides, enabling ergonomic, balanced lifting without snagging neighbouring loads. The handles flip up for a wrist-friendly lift from ultrasonic baths, washer racks, or autoclaves. Several models feature specially shaped base frames to allow safe stacking, improving workflow and saving space in sterile services.

The catheter basket is designed for vertical storage and features wire hooks that securely attach to 25 × 10 mm equipment rails, ensuring safe and accessible catheter handling.
