The 5-step configuration, the largest model in the range, has been independently tested by the British Standards Institution (BSI) to BS EN 131-7, the recognised European standard for mobile ladders with a platform. This testing validates the safety-critical design used across the entire Teknomek mobile safety steps range.

All other step sizes use the same design principles, materials and construction and are engineered to meet the same EN 131-7 requirements. Multiple step configurations are available to suit different working heights and applications.

The tested design confirms a 150 kg maximum load capacity, high structural stability and slip-resistant checker-plate steps and platform, with guardrails and handrails to support safe access.

Independent testing by BSI supports confidence in compliance and liability protection. In the event of a health and safety incident, customers can demonstrate due diligence by specifying access equipment that has been independently tested to a recognised standard, rather than relying solely on manufacturer claims.

Manufactured in the UK from 304L stainless steel, the steps are designed for frequent washdown and long service life. Easy-clean tubular handrails and a secure castor and locking system support safe movement and positioning in hygiene-critical environments.
