What are the benefits of having an Account?

What is your standard lead time?

Our standard lead time is 7-10 days for standard manufactured products, for bespoke and customised products it can vary depending on the specification.

What grade of steel do you use?

All our products come in 304 grade as standard. However, some can be made in 316 grade on request.

Can I shop for products dedicated to my industry?

Yes, we have search by sector pages, where we have put all the most popular products from various industries, to help you find what you need.

Can you make bespoke products?

Can I link my credit account to the website?

Yes. If you have an account set up with us, contact marketing@teknomek.co.uk and we’ll get it linked for you. You’ll be able to purchase whenever and wherever you like (subject to your account limit).

How are your products welded?

Our products are TIG welded. TIG stands for Tungsten Inert Gas and works by generating heat via an arc of electricity jumping from an electrode to the metal surfaces you intend to weld. The welding process prevents oxygen contamination of the welds by protecting the arc with a shield of argon gas, the argon also cools the puddle of weld. The welds are then electro polished using a low electrical current with a carbon brush and pickling acid, also a wire high speed rotary brush to clean the welds. TIG welding of flat sheet of thin grade is a fine, delicate and highly skilled welding process, compared to others such as MIG and stick arc welding.
