The use of appropriate and hygienic storage solutions plays a key role in maintaining every hygienic environment. Whether you’re storing staff clothing, PPE or cleaning equipment, there are always factors to consider. We discuss key considerations and benefits across our cupboard range to help make your next purchase as effortless as possible.

What makes our cupboards so hygienic?

As with the majority of our hygienic furniture and equipment, our range of cupboards are made from the highest quality 304L-grade stainless steel. This not only offers strength and durability, but also high chemical and corrosion resistance. Thanks to this, our cupboards can withstand the stringent hygiene regimes desired by auditors and help keep you audit-ready, every day.

We’ve incorporated many hygienic features to help create an easy to clean product with reduced harbourage points where bacteria can grow. Many of our cupboards feature sloping tops and drainage holes to help assist with the cleaning process. This prevents moisture and cleaning agents from pooling as well as preventing dirt and debris from settling on surfaces that may be easily missed during clean down processes.

Where are you placing your cupboard?

We offer both wall-mounted and freestanding cupboards to provide storage for every room layout. Our floor-standing cupboards have legs ranging from 150mm to 300mm to provide easy clearance for cleaning the surface underneath. They also feature adjustable, floor-levelling feet for added stability with rubber bases protecting floors from accidental marks.

Do you have additional storage considerations?

While we provide the choice of cupboards with or without drawers, there may be more important aspects to consider depending on the cupboards use, such as additional ventilation and drip trays. We explore when and where these features are best suited below:

Ventilation

Promoting air circulation, the use of vented cupboards prevents contents from overheating and reduces moisture build up that can lead to mould, mildew and bacterial growth.

Vented cupboards can be used to store chemicals, cleaning agents and solvents that release gases and odours. Dissipating harmful fumes, these cupboards provide a safer environment for storing these materials.

Liquid storage

Our vented and liquid storage cupboards feature removable drip trays to prevent cross contamination. Simplifying the cleaning process, it adds an extra layer of protection by containing leaks from dangerous substances, which could otherwise pose a serious risk to workers and the hygienic environment.

Lockable

Add a sense of extra security with many cupboards available with locking systems to protect high security and potentially dangerous items from outside interference. Spare keys are also available for added peace of mind.

Lab furniture

While we would always recommend stainless steel furniture in areas that require stringent hygiene with strong cleaning agents, we also offer Trespa and Sealwise laboratory cupboards. These ranges offer an alternative to stainless steel that has added antimicrobial properties.

Custom door options & additional shelves

Say goodbye to storage restrictions using our versatile cupboard furniture. Choose your optimal number of shelves and height positions using our readily available add-on shelving.

If ventilation is a particular concern, our customised door options offer open cupboards and mesh door variations. Want to see what’s being stored in just one glance? Clear doors enable full visibility while still protecting the contents from harm and contamination.

Many of our products can be tailored to your needs… and cupboards are no exception.
